Farm Pollination
Our Services
Managed Pollination
We manage beehive pollination for squash, pumpkins, apples, pears, blueberries, and herbs (rosemary, thyme, basil, oregano, and mint). We also handle all regulatory requirements with the Department of Health, ensuring full compliance and peace of mind.
Farming Partners
In addition to delivering hives, we approach pollination as an integrated process with improving soil health. We create customized solutions, such as prairie strips and wildlife corridors, to fit your needs. As a “tenant” on your farm, we can apply for and receive USDA beekeeping grants to reduce your costs.
Flexible Pricing
We’ll create a payment plan tailored to your needs, whether you want to focus on pollination or honey production (see pricing options below). As a small company, we can offer flexible agreements, and if we can’t fully meet your needs, we’ll help you to find someone else who can—that’s how much we care.
Local Investment
Through our backyard hive services, we help raise awareness and secure community support for your operations. Partnering with us opens a new funding channel to sustain your farming efforts, with 20% of our top-line “backyard” revenue dedicated to supporting your most essential farm initiatives.
Pollination Process
Assess & Install
We start by assessing crop integration and needs, bloom timing, sun exposure, water and floral availability, and suitable hive placement so as not to disturb your operations.
If water runoff and soil nutrients need enrichment, prairie strips can be considered and installed.
We review and apply for any government subsidies on your behalf that may be available to you as a host of pollinator-friendly practices.
Establish a baseline pollination score to use as reference for comparison after pollination.
Install suitable number of hives with full “nucs” to jumpstart pollination.
Monitor & Report
Inspect hives bi-weekly and perform health checks throughout the season, to ensure your bees are healthy, safe and productive.
Pollination progress will be regularly recorded, documented, and analyzed through lab testing and modeling to assess primary sources and efficiency.
If harvesting honey, we will take care of all bottling and processing.
Provide final report detailing your pollination productivity and return on investment.
